Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to drop off paper and cardboard?

Drop off is $25 per 660 litre bin full of paper and cardboard. If it is only slightly more than one bin we will not charge extra. For comparison, landfill charges a minimum of $220 per tonne and the material is buried rather than recycled.

Where and when can I drop off paper and cardboard for recycling?

At our Truganina yard (Truganina VIC 3029), Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Call 1300 292 783 for directions; a yardsman will show you where to unload.

Do I need to call before dropping off?

Yes. Please call ahead with an estimate of how much paper and cardboard you have so a customer care representative can take payment by credit card over the phone before you arrive.

Is paper and cardboard recycling collection really free?

Yes. Australian Waste Management is one of very few companies still offering free paper and cardboard recycling collections to select customers, with no bin hire fee and no charge for scheduled collections. Eligibility depends on your location and the volume and quality of the paper and cardboard.
